"In Town Without My Car"

Want to get fit? Avoid sitting in traffic? Do your bit to tackle climate change? Help Reading breathe more easily just for one day and get on your feet, on a bike, on the bus...

In Town Without My Car Day is on Monday 22 September. This is the focus of a week of events across Europe and beyond and in Reading, workers and residents will be urged to try an alternative to the car for the day!

In leaving your car at home it's hoped to reclaim the streets for people and restore the balance between traffic and other street users.

There's a launch event in Broad Street from 11 - 3pm on 16 September, with much more to follow.
