Skills dating!
Friday 19th February, 7pm - late
RISC, conference hall
Cost: £3
Heard of speed dating? Well, this is very similar, although you won’t be swapping numbers for romantic reasons, but in order to swap skills with a new friend! You might find yourself writing a poem in exchange for a delicious cake- or fixing a boiler in exchange for a French lesson. Sound good? Then start thinking of what skills you have to offer and come along (with an item representing your skill) for a fun-filled evening of new faces and entertainment.
Exhibition:The evening will be documented by local photographer Candida Lucca and exhibited in Reading High Street during Fairtrade Fortnight.
The event will also include invited guest speaker, Tom Allen from Trading Vision and live music from local Afrobeats group Limpopo and Beth Jollice.
This event has been organized to welcome in Fair trade Fortnight: aiming to encourage direct and equitable trade between people in our local and global communities.
