Sustainable living through community engagement giving our communities an eco-advantage - a one day conference on Thursday 19th January 2012.
We all have our part to play in addressing the impact of climate change. But what skills do communities need to be better prepared and contribute to a better living environment?
This one day conference will explore how getting communities involved can contribute to sustainable living. It will be an opportunity to hear about current initiatives in the South East and to exchange ideas and good practice.
Programme includes speakers:
• Terena Plowright, founder of the Greening Campaign
• Andy Mallory and Martin Heath, co-founders of the Basingstoke Transition Towns Network
• Irene Heller, The Sustainable Living Book, Lead Partner, EcoAdvantage
• Chris Large, Global Action Plan
and in the afternoon
* a Panel discussion on How can we engage communities in
sustainable living?
* Keynote presenters and other experts will share their experiences and try to answer this question.
