Champagne and Chocolates, unexpected treats for 750th volunteer registration!

Thanks to a donation from Marks and Spencer the Voluntary Action Centre was able to present the 750th person registering to volunteer in 2004 with a bottle of champagne and some chocolates.
Sarah Joyce was suitably surprised and happy at the outcome of her venture into the Centre on 9 September 2004. The day and month coincided with a presentation made last year for the 500th volunteer registration of the year so staff and volunteers were also celebrating a big increase in people getting involved in volunteering in Reading.
