Conference First for Community Development Workers

15 November 2006

90 delegates attended the inaugural Community Development Conference for Reading on 6th November 2006, at the Civic Centre in Reading. The conference brought together community development specialists from the Reading area and wider with speakers focusing on the new local government white paper (Colin Miller) http://www.communities.gov.uk/index.asp?id=1503999 engaging Black and Minority Ethnic communities (Steve Gayle) and engaging young people (Twilight Bey).

Feedback from the conference revealed that it had been highly informative and a great networking opportunity.
