DOH Social Enterprise Investment Fund - England
The Department of Health's Social Enterprise Investment Fund (SEIF) provides financial support to social enterprise pathfinders and other organisations which are, or are aiming to become, social enterprises delivering one or more health and/or social care services.
The objectives of the Social Enterprise Investment Fund are: to stimulate and encourage the development of a vibrant social enterprise sector in the delivery of health and social care services; to provide start-up funding and longer term investment to emerging and existing social enterprises in the health and social care sector with a view to their sustainability.
Preliminary application forms can be downloaded from the Documents and Links section below, or from the Department of Health SEIF webpage. Completed forms must be emailed to:

BBC Children in Need
BBC Children in Need welcomes applications for good quality, carefully planned, projects which show a clear focus on children in order to change their lives for the better. These applications can be from: Self-help groups; Voluntary organisations; or Registered charities. Applicants should be properly constituted, non-profit organisations. The children they help are aged 18 years and under, and live in the United Kingdom. You should only apply for a grant if it will benefit children who are disadvantaged by: any kind of disability; behavioural or psychological problems; living in poverty or situations of deprivation; illness, distress, abuse or neglect Next Closing Date is 30 November 2007.

KPMG Foundation
The focus of the KPMG Foundation is on education and social projects for the disadvantaged and under privileged, with particular emphasis on unlocking the potential of children and young people, up to 30 years of age, who for primarily social reasons have not fulfilled their educational potential.
In particular, the trustees have chosen to support four very distinct groups within this broad umbrella of “disadvantage”. Those groups are: Refugees; Young offenders; Children and young people who have been in care; Children and young people with dyslexia/literacy difficulties.
