YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES/YOUTH CAPITAL FUND (YOF/YCF).
YOF & YCF is money provided by the DfES (Department for Education and Skills) to empower young people to improve things to do and places to go in Reading. The first deadline will be Monday 17th March at 5pm. The next deadline will be in early May

ALLEN LANE FOUNDATION
The Foundation no longer has closing dates. Applications will be processed continually. The Foundation is interested in funding work which benefits people in the following groups, or generalist work which includes significant numbers from more than one such group: asylum-seekers and refugees; gay, lesbian, bi-sexual or transgender people; gypsies and travellers; offenders and ex-offenders; older people; people from black and minority ethnic communities and migrant workers; people experiencing mental health problems; people experiencing violence or abuse.
The Foundation will make grants for start-up, core or project costs. The grants are relatively small and are likely therefore to be appropriate for costs such as: Volunteers or participants expenses, Venue hire, Part-time or sessional staffing costs, Work aimed at strengthening the organisation such as trustee or staff training.The grants are relatively modest. Single, one-off grants range from as little as £500 up to £15,000. Grants repeated for more than one year vary from about £500 per annum up to £5,000 per annum, for a maximum of three years.

KELLOGGS ACTIVE LIVING FUND
Grants of up to £1,000 are available through the Kellogg's Active Living Fund for projects that remove the "barriers" which stop people being active. AGE CONCERN BARCLAYS PROGRAMME
Voluntary organisations that are providing, or wish to provide, services for older people can apply for small grants through the Age Concern administered Barclays Programme. Grants of up to £150 are available to voluntary organisations with an income of less than £50,000 per year towards new or expanding services or activities which directly benefit older people. http://digbig.com/4whtc or http://www.ageconcern.org.uk

FUNDING FOR SMALL SCALE REGENERATION PROJECTS
Local community groups, community enterprises and registered charities that address social and economic deprivation within specific geographic areas such as a housing estate, neighbourhood or village may be eligible to apply for grants of up to £5,000 through Comic Relief's Disadvantaged Communities programme. http://www.comicrelief.com/apply-for-a-grant/uk/application

FOOTBALL FOUNDATION
Groups, youth clubs, football clubs and education establishments that wish to increase participation by both players and volunteers in grass roots football have the opportunity to apply for funding of up to £9,000 through the Football Foundation's Community and Education Small Grants Scheme. Funding is available for training courses, to hire FA qualified coaches, for the hire of qualified/affiliated referees, facility hire, and affiliation to league or County Football Associations, recruitment events, first aid kits and travel expenses. http://www.footballfoundation.org.uk/seeking-funding/small-grants

CHURCH URBAN FUND
This fund is designed to help projects tackle poverty and marginalisation in urban areas of England. It aims to benefit people who are socially, culturally, spiritually, environmentally and financially disadvantaged. Grants are not restricted on the basis of religious beliefs and the fund welcomes applications from ethnic minority groups and from other faith-based organisations. Grants can be up to £30,000 and a small initiatives fund goes up to £2,000. http://www.cuf.org.uk
