From the Reading Evening post:
"Small community groups and projects stand to benefit from a cash injection of nearly £1m, thanks to a successful bid for Government money in Berkshire.
Berkshire Community Foundation (BCF) has gained part of a £130 million cash windfall from the Government to support small groups and projects across the country to revitalise communities.
The Foundation will receive £926,189 for small grants over the next three years. And this could triple.
If local companies and philanthropists are prepared to make donations, for every £1 they hand over the Government will add 50p up to a total of £803,617. With gift aid this would make a £10,000 donation worth £19,230 – almost double the additional sum.
Berkshire Community Foundation was chosen to distribute the cash because of its expertise and local knowledge."
