RVA Training Opportunities
by Merlyn Barrett (Training Co-ordinator)

6 August 2008

RVA invites you to discuss your volunteer training needs. We are committed to providing and facilitating good quality, appropriate, relevant and affordable training.

If you would like to get in touch we will be happy to visit your organisation to see if we can help. As well as our "Grow Your Own Group" programme, recent training has included Skills for Charity Shop Workers, Managing Boundaries, Reminiscence training and Dealing with Difficult Situations. Amongst ideas for future support are training opportunities for those volunteers working in the area of mental health, substance misuse and positive activities for people with learning difficulties. Our next two training events have been devised to respond to specific requests from partner organisations in the local voluntary sector, so please contact us if you would like to discuss the training needs of your volunteers.

Many of our training events are free or subsidised. So if you have a specific training need, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
