We've received an important communication from the Children's Workforce Adviser at NAVCA (National Association for Voluntary and Community Action, RVA's national umbrella body) encouraging participation of local groups in shaping services for children and young people through the Children’s Workforce Development Council.
The CWDC has a vision to "build a world-class workforce for children, young people and families, and part of our mission includes making sure the child is at the centre of all services. For us, participation means ensuring the structures, resources and processes are in place so that we and our workforce can be steered by what children, young people and their families tell us."
One of the ways that the CWDC makes sure this happens is by inviting groups of children and young people to help shape their work. They are keen to keep building their existing database of groups so that they can reach as wide a range of children and young people across the country as possible.
They would like to invite you to join their database so that you hear about opportunities to shape their work when they arise, and so that they can listen and act upon what the children and young people you work with tell them.
If you would like to join the database, please email
alice.taylor@cwdcouncil.org.uk for an electronic copy of the form or call her on 0113 3907671. Your details will not be used for any other purpose or passed to any other parties.
