Lloyds TSB Foundation's Community Programme is looking to fund projects in Reading.

The Programme focuses on funding core work that helps disadvantaged people to play a fuller role in the community. They are particularly interested in work that achieves this through:

• Improved social and community involvement
• Improved life chances
• Helping people to be heard

The Programme supports:

• Small and medium, underfunded registered charities (12 months reserves or less)
• Local or regional charities with an income of £1 million or less
• National charities with an income of £5 million or less

What do they fund?
• Running costs including salaries to ensure that charities can maintain and develop their core work/services
• Provide funding for projects that build on charities’ core work

Who they don’t fund?
• None registered charities
• Second or third tier charities
• Charities that mainly work overseas
• Charities that mainly give money to other charities and individuals
• Hospitals, hospices or medical centres
• Rescue services
• Schools. Colleges and universities
