CSV Volunteering can improve job prospects
A survey published by CSV last month shows volunteering for between 4-12 months improves employability and much needed skills. Almost 300 former CSV Full Time Volunteers were surveyed and asked if volunteering had impacted their job prospects.
The key findings include:
91% said that volunteering had boosted their job prospects
84% said that their CSV placement had improved their employability
96% said it had helped to develop their skills 77% said the experience helped distinguish them from other job seekers
73% said redundancy would make them more likely to volunteer
