Runners net £3,720 for MS charity
22 April 2009
A Reading MS charity received a meaty cheque from runners at the Village Butchers in Tilehurst.
Jackie Malcolm, from Berkshire Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Therapy Centre in West Reading, accepted £3,720 on Thursday, April 16.
Paulo Riccio from the Village Butchers, Paul Macbeth and Carl Sharp, from Macbeth Insurance Brokers, Paul’s brother James and good friends Lee and Rebecca Dixon all ran the Reading Half Marathon last month to raise money for the centre.
Mrs Malcolm said: “It is great to see people working together to fundraise for the centre. Everyone here has taken part in a tough challenge and then raised a substantial amount of money for us, I cannot thank them enough.”
