Grannies and grandpas have turned their backs on ‘traditional’ hobbies like knitting and bridge and bowled head-first into the 21st century.

Whitley should be renamed Wii-tley now there are plans to introduce the fat-busting Nintendo game as exercise for the area’s more mature residents.

Proving age is no barrier, older folk are taking on the mantle of Wii wizards – despite the game usually being more popular with youngsters.
