Get involved during Volunteers’ Week

Kind -hearted Reading folk who give up their time to help worthy causes are being honoured as part of a national initiative which starts today.
Volunteers’ Week takes place throughout this week and is a national celebration of volunteers and volunteering.
This year marks the 25th annual celebration and will be marked with various events throughout Reading and the country.
The initiative aims to raise the profile of millions of volunteers who regularly give their time to others and hopes to encourage others to give their time.
A number of events will take place across Berkshire including a Volunteers’ Week Party at the Reading International Solidarity Centre on Friday (June 5) organised by Reading Voluntary Action.
