Shuttle Badminton Tournament

Association of Reading Malayalees (ARMS) have successfully organised Men’s Double Shuttle Badminton tournament on Sunday, 31st May 2009 at Meadway Sports Centre, Reading. Forty participants in 20 different teams across the country participated in Reading’s 1st all UK Men’s Double Shuttle Tournament organised for Malaylaee Community. The tournament commenced at 10am and finished by 2.30 pm.
Rajeev and Jai Murali from Croydon lifted the winner’s trophy; Rajiv Kumar and Ram K from Croydon finished 2nd. Meadway Sports Centre staff Mr. Steven Purchell awarded the trophy and the cash to the winners on behalf of ARMS.
ARMS would like to take this opportunity to thank all the teams who have participated in the tournament, and all visitors who have encouraged the team and made this Shuttle Tournament a big success.
