We are seeking a Project Coordinator to work within our Training Services team to plan, coordinate and execute a programme involving the recruitment and training of volunteers. These will be particularly, though not exclusively, young volunteers, to deliver an information, advice and guidance service to their local community in Reading. The volunteers will be community based using publicly available information.

Initial 2 year contract
Location: Reading
Hours: 21 hours per week
Salary: circa £20,000 pro rata(depending on experience)
Pension: 5% Employer’s contribution

You will:-
Develop project plans
Direct and manage the project
Develop processes, and procedures to enable the successful operation of the project
Market and promote the service to enable the community and volunteers to make best use of the service
Recruit and organise the training of the volunteers
Build the necessary relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the success and continuity of the project

We are looking for a person with:-
· Project management skills and experience of partnership working in the NfP sector.
· An understanding and experience of adult learning
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· The ability to market and promote a service
· The ability to produce comprehensive reports, and develop working procedures.

Reading CAB is a busy, well-resourced, town centre bureau with a varied range of projects and volunteer roles. The bureau has a team of 50 volunteer advisers, 20 paid staff and 15 admin support volunteers to give quality advice and information to over 9000 residents a year.
