Where will your Community Group be in 10 Years Time?
by Anna Fowler (Forum Co-ordinator)
17 September 2009
What does the future hold for your community group and Reading’s voluntary and community sector as a whole? How will you be funded? How will social and political change affect how you work and what you achieve?
The Forum’s upcoming event ‘Over the Rainbow – Reading’s VCS Looks to the Next 10 Years’ will address these key issues through:
Presentations – expert analysis, informed opinion and pointers for the future
Workshops - an opportunity to raise your issues and concerns, share good practise and swap ideas
Panel Discussion – local VCS leaders, councillors and statutory partnership representatives will answer your questions
The event will generate key voluntary and community sector messages which will be then taken to the Local Strategic Partnership Forum event in November.
‘Over the Rainbow – Reading’s VCS Looks to the Next 10 Years’ is on Wednesday 30th September, 16.00 – 19.00 at RISC, 35 – 39 London Street, Reading, RG1 4PS. It is FREE to attend, but requires booking. Please visit
www.rvsforum.co.uk/events.aspx for more information. You can also book a place by calling 0118 958 4849.
This is an invaluable information and networking event that could make a big difference to your organisation.
