Central Club back open next summer

News from: Reading Post

by Anna Roberts (Reading Post)

7 October 2009

Reading's Central Club is set to reopen by next summer, according to a group behind its revival.

Mark Bartley, the brains behind the African Caribbean Community Group (ACCG), has announced the venue in London Street should be up and running again in six to nine months.

The 30-year-old told the Post: "It should be open to people in Reading this time next year."

"The ACCG are currently recruiting for a full time development worker at £26,706 per annum."

"This worker will be supporting African and Afro-Caribbean groups in Reading, assisting groups with project planning, fundraising and working together."
