One-day project sought for local team of volunteers

News from: Connect Reading

by Clare Wright (Manager, Connect Reading)

7 January 2010

Connect Reading are seeking a project for a team of 52 volunteers who work in Sales and Marketing for one day in the Spring. They would like to undertake some practical hands-on tasks that have a definite start and end to them. e.g. building something in a garden/re-painting offices etc. Even in a large group like this we would break them into work groups of around 10-12 and one of these groups can offer sales and marketing advice to the charity/community organisation or help you with an ongoing office task.

It may even be possible to set up a drop-in session for other charities to come to the team challenge and benefit from the advice if there is enough space at the venue (please indicate if this might be of interest so that I can forecast possible numbers). They have undertaken fundraising activities in the past and do not want to do this again this time.

They may have some budget available to buy the materials/equipment but it is not set and would depend upon the task and its requirements.

Please contact Clare, Connect Reading Manager, if you would like further information on how to submit an application.
