Speaking Out Small Grants Programme - Deadline 22 January 2010

The Speaking Out Small Grants Programme is provided and administered by Children England and the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services (NCVYS). The programme is intended to support voluntary and community organisations throughout England working with children and young people aged 0-25 years to deliver one-off projects in their local community. Maximum value of grant is available £1,000. The scheme is keen to fund work in the following areas:
• Community empowerment.
• Employment, education and training.
• Health.
• Homelessness and housing.
• Youth justice.
Eligible organisations must:
• Be working to support children and young people.
• Be based in England.
• Be a member of Children England or NCVYS.
All projects and activities must involve children and young people throughout their implementation and development.
Application Procedure.
Members of Children England and NCVYS can act as a sponsor or work in partnership with another organisation or group. The applying organisation can be the lead accountable body for the activity with the support of a member sponsor. If a member organisation is happy to support an affiliated group's application, a letter of support must be submitted. Contact Children England for further information.
