ADVICE SERVICE MANAGER REQUIRED

Location: Reading
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: circa £26,000 (depending on experience)
Pension: 5% Employer’s contribution

We are seeking a highly motivated and confident person to lead advice service delivery in a busy town centre bureau with good facilities and a varied range of projects and volunteer roles. The bureau has a team of 50 volunteer advisers, 20 paid staff and 15 admin support volunteers to give quality advice and information to over 9000 residents a year.

The bureau runs a Gateway assessment service, a help desk at the County Court, an outreach service and currently has specialist capability in Debt, Benefits, Employment and Immigration.

As a senior member of the management team, reporting to the Chief Executive you will play a leading role in ensuring the maintenance and development of a high quality advice service, and will be responsible for management of the day to day running of the advice service.

You will have recent and ongoing experience of advice work and managing service delivery to targets. You will be a team player with excellent leadership, motivational, communication and interpersonal skills.
