Virgin Money Giving

News from: Reading Voluntary Action (RVA)

by Nakhat Zahir (Funding Advice Worker)

22 June 2010

Virgin Money Giving is a not-for-profit company so the fee they charge charities of 2% of donations is just enough to cover our operating costs. They don't charge an ongoing fee to be on our site, there are no monthly or annual fees - and we don't charge to collect Gift Aid.

Make sure your charity is registered so people can choose to support you. They only charge what they need to cover their operating costs. Just one £100 + VAT set-up charge, and 2% of donations. That's it. They don't charge an ongoing fee to be on their site and there are no monthly or annual fees.

Virgin Money Giving makes the internet and online giving available to all. Setting up your charity's page is really easy. You can even have several pages if you want to promote more events and campaigns. They reclaim Gift Aid for you and pass it on to you in full. Plus they don't apply their 2% fee to Gift Aid collected on donations – so you don't pay a penny for this service.
