Performance Reward Grant - LSP Update
by Anne Laing (PDM)
13 April 2011
The latest changes in payment of the PRG from government has shifted the ability to spend from 50:50 revenue:capital to a 70:30 split resulting in a late proposal coming forward for roll out of a Community Mums and Dads Project, currently running in South Reading, to contribute to the Breaking the Cycle of Poverty strand. Whilst the Board in outline supported the scheme there were a number of concerns for this use of revenue proposal
- the time critical nature of any decision
- the need to investigate whether this was the only or best vehicle to build on the current work
- whether it required the full £300K
- open tender issues would need to be investigated with this size of contract.
The Chairman proposed that a Task & Finish group should look at these issues and make a recommendation to the May Board.
