Reading Voluntary Action launches RGneeds.me
21 October 2011
RVA has launched its new online portal for volunteering in Reading,
www.rgneeds.me bringing to fruition a long-term project on which the organisation has been working intensively for the last 18 months.
Crucial to the project has been the contribution of volunteer web developer Tony Short, who has been working with RVA for the last 9 years supporting the organisation's IT and marketing.
The launch was announced at RVA's AGM on 19 October 2011, by Deputy Director Hazel Broad who has worked with Tony on the project. Hazel also highlighted some of the innovative changes made over the last year including a complete redesign of our town centre shop and our online service for volunteer recruitment.
As well as providing a fitting home for our fantastic new online volunteer matching tool, the RGneeds.me site has news and events on volunteering plus special feature articles and all the elements you would expect like a glossary and help page.
We'd love to hear feedback from subscribers to our Volunteering Opportunities Newsletter and indeed from all visitors to the site, so that we can respond to your ideas. Just email
