To promote the well being and independence of older people in the county and to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. To ensure comfort and security for older people. The diversity and scale of the area represents a distinct challenge to Age UK Berkshire which it is seeking to meet through the following services and functions: Support to local Age Concern groups; advice and information; advocacy; direct payments; counselling; handy person; hospital aftercare; Westlink befriending; Linkways befriending; Wokingham Forum Development; 50 Plus Forum; IT awareness training; mobile phone training; pension and welfare benefits; insurance, campaigning.

Maintained to community legal service standard - general help with casework. Two members of staff on overlapping hours of duty ensuring that messages are acknowledged within 24 hours and a meaningful response given within 7 days.
