BACYP V Involved is a UK wide initiative which encourages young people aged 16-24 to build on their skills and interests through volunteering in their local community. The aim of the scheme is for young people to achieve 200 hours of volunteering, therefore demonstrating a sustained commitment to their chosen activity or activities, at which point they will receive a nationally recognised Award of Excellence. Supported by a project worker, through the scheme young people have access to over 200 placement providers, youth led projects and a number of training courses.

To recruit young people from Reading and support and guide them through their volunteering experience to achieve their 200 hours MV Award. To work with a range of groups to provide quality volunteering opportunities.
£25k per annum, 37 hours per week. BACYP are looking for a suitable candidate to work with local communities to establish and identify needs. The locality manager will help to identify solutions for a range of youth work opportunities, providing the necessary guidance on quality funding and wider volunteer opportunity recruitment.
