Berkshire County Blind Society (BCBS) works with and supports around 2000 visually impaired people living in Berkshire, from children to adults.

BCBS promotes independence and inclusion for visually impaired people in their local communities through: five information desks at Berkshire hospitals; home visits; a newsletter; information sharing; advice; training; use of technology; social activties and holidays; and a family programme. BCBS raises awareness of the needs of visually impaired people.

Local IT Heroes Celebrated at National IT Awards

Local resident Steven Bowers and Sally Grey along with Berkshire County Blind Society (BCBS) were celebrated as finalists in the Best Innovations Category at the annual iT4Communities IT Volunteer Awards Ceremony held at the Information Technologists’ Hall in London on Thursday 29th November.
