The Community Council for Berkshire (CCB) is an independent, democratic local development agency and is the Rural Community Council for Berkshire, providing community development services that deliver real improvements in the quality of life. Community development includes project management for parish planning, rural transport initiatives, advice services for village halls, rural retailers, food producers and voluntary groups, education and training services for carers and disadvantaged groups. CCB works in partnership with Govt Office for the South East, South East England Development Agency, unitary authorities, parish councils, businesses, funding agencies and voluntary and community groups.
CCB's aim is to provide expertise in community development techniques and in developing voluntary action to improve the support of disadvantaged groups and individuals. CCB strives to enhance the quality of life in Berkshire by strengthening voluntary action and sustaining communities.
