CVA is the Council for Voluntary Service serving the Unitary Authority area of Wokingham District. We work with a wide variety of voluntary and community groups to whom we offer a range of services, including fundraising advice, information about news and legal changes relevant to the voluntary sector. We have a small library of useful literature on voluntary sector issues available at our premises. We also assist new and developing groups to set up and to expand their areas of work.
We work closely with Wokingham District Council and Wokingham Primary Care Trust and we also have links to other local statutory agencies and local businesses.
CVA represents the sector on a a number of partnership bodies and through our membership of the National Association of Councils for Voluntary Service (NACVS) and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), we can make local views known at national level.
