Aims of the Friends
The Friends exist to create a greater awareness of Reading Museum, and to promote the importance of the Museum collections and their presentation to the community.
Objectives
One of our main objectives is to raise funds to enable the purchase of works of art and artefacts so that the collection can grow. Currently we are aiming to fund new exhibitions and conservation projects, and the re-display of existing collection artefacts.
Social Calendar
We organise a varied social calendar, with events throughout the year and have opportunities to tour behind the scenes at the Museum. We hold regular council meetings and a yearly AGM.
