We have 33 years experience of working with young people. Our passion is to encourage young people aged 17-25 to volunteer overseas. Every year we place 2000 UK and overseas volunteers in 27 different countries. GAP works in partnership with more than 500 hosts (locally managed organisations). Every year more than 8,000 adults and children benefit from the works of our GAPpers. Work can include community, caring, medical, conservation, camps/outdoor education, schools/caring, schools, TEFL. Our placements engender an international outlook and a raised awareness of social, economic and environmental issues in the developing/developed world. Hosts accept our volunteers because of the time, energy and skills that they invest in the local community. We work with the same communities over many years, helping to create a positive and sustainable impact on the local people.
