JAC is a detached youth work organisation, working with young people on the streets and in the parks. To compliment this work we also work in senior schools providing Emotional Literacy groups, in families offering family suppport and mediation, in project work to engage young people in interests and hobbies and in one to one mentoring. JAC also has a Therapy Through Horses project where young people can visit to work with and ride the horses, there is a youth worker on hand to discuss issues that might be affecting the young person.
The mission statement for JAC is:
To give hope to young people in the community, enabling them to make positive choices, by demonstrating love and acceptance according to Christian principles.
