The National Centre for Volunteering works to promote excellence in volunteering in England by influencing policy, developing partnerships and providing information and advice. In addition the Centre produces a range of goods and services including Good Practice Guides, Volunteering Magazine; policy briefings and information sheets. Events run by the Centre include the National Volunteering Convention (biannual); Volunteers Week (1-7 June every year) and one day training courses through the year. The Centre provides an information service to support organisations (rather than individuals) involved in volunteering.
