Source provides information, advice, support, treatment, access to counselling, harm reduction, outreach and drug education to any young people aged between 11 and 18 years, who live in the Reading area, who may be involved in, or at risk of substance misuse. Source also provides support to parents and carers who are concerned about a young persons use of drug or alcohol.

Provide targeted drug education and training sessions which are fun and interactive to young people and the community of Reading. Offer outreach in partnership with youth service and street wardens to those most in need and offer support in practical and creative ways to assist clients who have complex circumstances/needs. Also assist groupwork aimed at children whose parents misuse substances.

Promotion/raise awareness of Source Young Person Drug & Alcohol Service by providing information stands, advice and signposting to community events.
Also invite service users (young people and parents) to engage in planning, delivery and evaluation of Source and services offered.
