The Ark is a unique combined arts organisation making art activity accessible to all people, regardless of disability and sensory impairment. Our users are mainly adults and children who have severe or profound multiple learning disabilities, though we also work with people recovering from mental illness and some people who have physical disabilities.
230 people visit The Ark every week during term time, attending workshops in a theatre environment within our specially equipped studio. We make art together, through the provision of Multi-Sensory Theatre. This excites all the senses by exploring music making, dance and drama.
