Aims
The centre aims to provide high quality supported accommodation within a Christian environment that is both safe and secure allowing residents to live fulfilling lives in an atmosphere of freedom and friendship.
The centre staff will work with residents to enhance and develop their independent living skills and assist them in obtaining more independent accommodation.
Key Workers continually assess and endeavour to meet the needs (physical, intellectual, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual) of each resident. Where appropriate residents will be encourage to seek support from other professional agencies, and assistance will be given to clients in making such referrals
Objectives
To work with the Reading Borough Council to meet the needs of local homeless men and women
To provide a quality building and facilities with the support of The Salvation Army Housing Association and The Salvation Army.
To provide, support, advice and assistance on practical matters i.e. Budgeting, cleaning, cooking and other life skills,
To help residents access ‘move on’ accommodation
