Every five minutes someone in the UK has a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only national charity solely concerned with combating stroke in people of all ages. Our vision is to have a world where there are fewer strokes and all those touched by stroke get the help they need. Our mission is to prevent strokes, and reduce their effect through providing services, campaigning, education and research. The Reading Stroke Support group is a chance for carers and stroke survivors to meet other people and enjoy a range of activities once a month. The group is also a place where carers can support each other and have time to chat and talk about any concerns they have.
