The ‘Keep Gardening’ service is run by Thrive on behalf of Reading Borough Council. The Service is for older people in Tilehurst, Southcote and Whitley, offering them help and support to make and sustain a safe easy maintenance garden.  It is a pilot project with funding until December 2011.  In some cases a volunteer is allocated to work with the older person for a couple of hours a week over a period of 2-3 months, giving hands-on help with gardening tasks.
