Volunteer Centre Reading is managed by Reading Voluntary Action. We encourage and support volunteering in the Reading area by:

- Sharing good practice amongst on managing and working with volunteers.

Our centre offers a service matching the interests and skills of volunteers with the needs of organisations throughout Reading who need help. Our shop window in Cross Street displays a selection of the latest volunteering opportunities.
The drop-in service is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 2pm.

Every Wednesday we offer timed appointment slots for you to register and receive a personal one-to-one matching service to help you find the right volunteering opportunity for you.
Slots are up to 30 minutes long and start at:
10.15, 11.00, 11.45, 12.30, 13.15
We can cater for up to 3 clients at a time.

Michele is responsible for the team of volunteer advisors who provide the volunteer matching service and ensures that all enquiries about volunteering opportunities are dealt with effectively. Michele is available to talk with organisations about their volunteering requirements.

Merlyn is RVA's training co-ordinator and as such has special responsibility for volunteer training and working with local voluntary groups on the ground to identify and provide for their training needs.
