What browser do I need for this web site?
We support most modern browsers: IE9, Firefox, Safari, Chrome (but please make sure you are using the latest versions). Some sections of this site have been optimised for mobile devices, we are working on the rest!
I'm having problems using the site, what might be wrong?
This site requires Javascript to be turned on, and Cookies to be enabled. Refer to the help for your browser to make sure these are both set correctly. If you get stuck, you are always welcome to come and use the site at our shop the town centre.
How can I find a volunteering opportunity?
This web site has all our latest opportunities, you can using our matching tool to search online. Alternatively, if you need more help, or want to explore options with one of our advisers, you can drop in to our town centre shop (8 Cross Street, Reading). On our home page is a selection of external / national websites that can give you further opportunities.
I cannot find anything suitable, what else can I try?
You can subscribe to our weekly newsletter, which has all the new volunteering opportunites, news and events. If you want to know about new tasks as they are added you can follow us on Twitter @rva_volunteer which will alert you immediately. You can also email us. We can’t promise to find something, but we do use your requests to build more opportunities with groups and charities in Reading.
